General Information about Scholarship Activities
The
mission of the OSU Alumni Club of Naples includes the recruitment of potential Naples area students who are interested in
attending The Ohio State University. The Club’s Scholarship Committee members take an active role
in the recruitment of potential students and award of scholarships to honors students from Collier County. Scholarship
Committee members are involved in a number of recruitment activities including College Fairs, personal contact with interested
students and informational meetings with high school counselors.
The
Scholarship Award Program is one of the unique programs of the Club. Scholarship awards are given to qualified
students from Collier County who attend OSU. Since the Scholarship Award Program began in the 1990’s, fourteen
(14) students have benefited from the generosity of the members and friends of Naples Buckeyes. Past award
recipients are in a variety of professional fields around the U. S. Many are using their talents and resources
to continue to support scholarship activities at OSU.
